Our Story

Gbagede Ewaede Foundation is an indigenous registered foundation dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich African cultural heritage.

The Face behind Ewaede

The good-natured Yoruba culture and African arts revitalization activist, Princess Adejoke Shomoye was born into the family of Bashorun Adejare and Madam Adebimpe Shomoye almost four decades ago in the cosmopolitan City of Abeokuta . She has royalty flowing through veins as a blue-blood from Laarun Ruling House in Egba Land.

Dedicated to Heritage

Adejoke acquired creativity and dexterity by divine donation. Her adroitness and ability to always propagate the uniqueness of Yoruba culture has always being occasioned by her innate character of deriving natural pleasure in the rich heritage and customs of our forefathers towards preserving them for the generation yet unborn.
